OMG 2 box office collection day 19: “OMG ,” a satirical comedy-drama starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, has demonstrated its staying power at the Indian box office. The film earned a total of Rs 85.05 crore during its first week and Rs 41.37 crore during its second week in India. In its third week, the movie collected Rs 2 crore on Friday, Rs 3.50 crore on Saturday, Rs 4 crore on Sunday, approximately Rs 1.11 crore on Monday, and is projected to earn about Rs 1.45 crore on Tuesday.

As of Tuesday, the film’s collections are estimated to have reached Rs 138.48 crore. On August 28, the film had an average occupancy rate of 16.94 percent. Notable contributors to the film’s box office success include Chennai (42.50 percent), Pune (26.25 percent), Jaipur (20.75 percent), Bengaluru (19.25 percent), Hyderabad (19.25 percent), Chandigarh (17.25 percent), Mumbai (17 percent), and the National Capital Region (16.75 percent), according to trade portal Sacnilk.

“OMG 2” is a sequel to the 2012 film “OMG: Oh My God!” and is directed by Amit Rai. The movie revolves around Kanti Sharan Mudgal, an unhappy individual who pursues legal action to make comprehensive education mandatory in schools following a personal tragedy. The film features Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam, Pawan Malhotra, Arun Govil of Ramayan fame, and Govind Namdeo in significant roles. It boasts an IMDb rating of 8.2/10 and an audience score of 91 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

On the other hand, “OMG: Oh My God!” directed by Umesh Shukla, centers on a shopkeeper who takes God to court after an earthquake destroys his shop. The original film featured Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Govind Namdeo, and the late Om Puri in key roles. It has an IMDb rating of 8.1/10 and an audience score of 74 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

“OMG 2” was released in theaters worldwide on August 11, sharing the release date with “Gadar 2,” led by Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel.
